TROLLING LAKE ERIE STYLE

Trolling spoons behind Jet Divers & Dipsy Divers  out produces all other methods when it comes to big fish and big numbers.  When the fish become scattered or the bite turns cold, we want to cover a lot of water. We also want to  target a specific depth and stay there consistently.  When the spoon passes by it triggers and instinctive strike that puts fish in the box.

We Troll Directional Divers ( see photo ) set at different angles and Jet Divers, 20s and 30s back at different depths ( see photo)   The Jets are sent out the side of the Boat by Planer Boards.  This gets to Fish that are spooked out away and can target all depths, especially suspended Fish that are not going to be under the Boat.

Speed is critical, one day they are hitting at 1.5 mph and the next at 2.5 mph.  Normally anywhere around 2.0 mph is ideal.  Change up the speed, vary from 1.8 to 2.5 sometimes produces fish.  The whole point here is target the fish just above the depth they are suspended.  Walleye tend Feed Up!

Trolling  is exciting, productive and will keep you busy, making your trip a not to be missed experience!
